Photography has been my main hobby for over 20 years. I have worked as a semi professional for the last
ten years photographing the Ottawa folk and Jazz festivals, bonspiels winners, marathon and group portraits.
I like all types of photography from studio work to underwater. Each presents a different challenge and set
of problems to solve.
I have studied photography by taking many courses from local photographers like Gary Black, Phil Pocock,
Ken Ginn, Jon Joosten and David Barbour. I have also taken courses at Algonquin and Carleton.
I am a senior member of the RA Photo club and have served in many executive positions with the club
including chairman twice. I have also been the chairman of the Canadian Camera conference when it was held in
Ottawa in 1998 and 2003. I have served on the Board of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA)
for six years including two as president.
